Shasa Siberian Lynx

Shasa was born on May 7, 1997 on a Nebraska fur farm. The owner was dying of colon cancer and had been spreading the word around to many different animal people all over the United States that he had to get rid of his supply of cats as soon as possible. Word came around to Forever Wild and we soon jumped on a plan to bring home 9 baby bobcats, a Siberian lynx and Canadian lynx.

The man died only days after we picked up the cats. Forever Wild along with 3 other groups were able to split up the cats to give them nurturing homes. The cats were only 5 to 7 days old so a lot of patience, long hours, love and tenderness went into each cat saved. Forever Wild strongly believes that more people would refrain from purchasing fur clothing if they can only see how beautiful the fur looks on the actual animal and if they saw firsthand how these innocent animals are slaughtered.

Shasa lives with her friend Maverick and you will often see the two of them curled up together sleeping or grooming each other.

When you "sponsor" one of our animals, your donation of $25 helps minimize the costs of food, shelter, enrichment and medical expenses for one day.

As a sign of our appreciation, you will receive:

  • A beautiful 5x7 photograph of the animal you are adopting.
  • Biography on how your animal came to live at Forever Wild.
  • Certificate of adoption.

This makes a great gift for any animal lover!

You can sponsor any animal shown on our web site.
